  i just had to share this with you all!

  i posted earlier about getting some valentine flowers delivered out of the blue, well i work with my brother (an elder) at my parents house (mother is a jw), and its been hilarious seeing the way both of them have completely ignored the flowers as though they are invisible.

  i'm not so cruel as to say 'seen my flowers?

  hi there friends, i was having a particularly bad weekend/week, feeling all lonely and fedup.

  when i get a delivery of red roses!!!

  wow i tell you it really made my day.

  Disappointment

  i guess i know it was to be expected, but i thought i was making headway with my ex.

  it seemed we were at the begining of being able to talk about things, especially the witnesses and bible.

  i had offered to show her from the bible some points and even her own literature (wts) so we could discuss it further.

  Found some older WTS publications!

  i was going through some old boxes in my attic and found some older wts publications, mainly spanning late 60's to 90's, but among those was a couple from the 40's and 50's, but the real scoop was the book 'riches' by none other than jf rutherford!

  i'm hoping to witness first hand some of the witnesses flip flops on doctrine.. does anyone know if there is anything significant in this book that i should look out for when reading it?.

  Library containing early Watchtower mags & books

  i would be interested to be able to look up references made from now unavailable literature, does anyone know of a library that contains them?

  by the way i am in england.

  its not that i doubt the many quotaions i have seen, but its frustrating to not see them in the flesh.

  'Ruth class' ????

  i was speaking to my ex last night and saying how did she feel the governing body of the witnesses worked in practice, and that as annointed its been 71 years since the number was sealed - and therefore what happens when they become too old or dead?

  she then mentioned the 'ruth class'.

  i imagine this is some way the society is trying to alleviate the problem of the dying annointed by saying its a prophesy indicating that others would join the annointed and help out?

  has anyone else wondered why the witnesses hold a meeting in order to 'keep doing this in rememberance of me' ?

  since i was old enough to think and reason (yes i know how terrible!

  ) i could never understand why our 'celebration', the one thing important to true christians in the year, was another meeting!

  unless of course your the 'faithful and descreet slave', talking of the fds, how come they use this parable (of the faithful slave) to say they are it when the next few verses shows you can be an evil slave too, showing it is about your attitude, rather than a specific person or people?

  hi everyone, i'm a newly registered member here.

  left the witnesses coming up to two years ago, got df about 8 months after that, still struggle with life after the 'truth', feel resentful of it all, but know i'd never return to that brain washing.
